TORONTO—Great Gulf has won the International Property Award for Best International High-Rise Residential Development for its One Bloor condominium project in Toronto.
The International Property Awards in London called on development companies to present their finest work, which led to a judging committee, chaired by three members of the House of Lords, scrutinizing hundreds of entries.
These coveted awards are open to residential and commercial property professionals from around the globe, a release explains, and celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry.

"One Bloor, a bold futuristic building featuring a series of undulating curves represents a symbol of excellence in design, technology and experience and will become a landmark in Toronto’s prestigious Bloor-Yorkville mink mile."
The building is over 60 storeys and is currently being constructed on the southeast corner of Yonge and Bloor Streets. Designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, One Bloor will offer 732 suites.
The building will also encompass 100,000 sq. ft. of retail space with a concourse-level shopping below grade, as well as retail in the first two storeys of the podium that will front along Yonge and Bloor.
The International Property Awards covers 50 different residential and commercial categories, with regional heats staged for Arabia, Europe, Africa, Canada, Central and South America, the Caribbean, the USA, UK and Asia Pacific. The highest scoring entries from each category in every region are then re-evaluated to establish the winners at the international level, the release reads.
The judges, which can consist of a panel of more than 80 experts, look for the most impressive and innovative projects and also examine the sustainability and eco-friendliness of every property and development.
Having already competed at the country level throughout the regional stages of the International Property Awards 2014-2015, representatives from the top scoring companies gathered in the Joharah Ballroom at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai on Dec. 4 where the world’s best winners were announced.
The International Property Awards, in association with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, is in its 21st year.
