TORONTO —Cadillac Fairview has announced a $21-million revitalization investment in CF Shops at Don Mills, its open-air shopping centre located in north Toronto.
The planned redevelopment includes upgraded wayfinding and signage in the parking lots, new streetscaping including the widening of sidewalks and installation of cobblestone roadways and a catenary lighting system, upgraded furniture and seating areas, and on-property art installations and landscaping, indicates the Cadillac Fairview media release issued May 3.
A second entertainment zone will also be added to enable increased programming and entertainment onsite.
Construction is already underway and is expected to be completed by Spring 2017.
In addition to the redevelopment improvements, CF Shops at Don Mills has contracted with new retail partners, restaurants and services.
Cadillac Fairview is one of the largest owners, operators and developers of office, retail and mixed-use properties in North America with over 37 million square feet of leasable space at 71 properties in Canada. Cadillac Fairview has been wholly owned by the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan since 2000.
