Beleave to expand London cannabis greenhouse facility

TORONTO — Toronto-based cannabis grower Beleave Inc. recently announced it has received a building permit for its growing facility in London, Ont.

Beleave purchased the existing 250,000-square-foot greenhouse facility last September and since then has spent $8 million to expand the operation including the installation of 10 megawatts of electrical capacity serviced by London Hydro, adding HVAC and other equipment and undertaking site engineering.

The expansion, expected to be completed later this year, will provide an additional 115,000 square feet of greenhouse grow space and 11,600 square feet of indoor grow space.

In addition, Beleave has been pursuing its license from Health Canada and was notified that it is now at the review and security clearance stage, to be followed by the confirmation of readiness.

The firm grows cannabis flower, oil and extracts for medical and recreational markets.

The building permit was granted by the City of London on April 1.
