TORONTO — The third biennial edition of Toronto of the Future will display unique ideas for commercial, industrial and residential developments, urban infrastructure and transportation projects that will shape the City of Toronto’s future.
The event, co-hosted in collaboration with the City of Toronto, is a civic showcase of major architectural concepts which will be held free-of-charge from June 25 to July 1 at Metro Hall, located at 55 John St.
In addition to the many people who pass through Metro Hall every day, thousands of visitors are also expected. The event will feature groundbreaking 3-D scale models, illustrations, renderings and virtual presentations from top architects, contractors, developers and government agencies, including the City Planning Division of the City of Toronto, indicates a release.
The event will also feature around 25 exhibitors, most showcasing multiple projects.
Displays will include various projects under construction, approved, planned or envisioned, but all will “inspire the conversation of the evolution of a great city,” states the release.
Toronto of the Future is based on the Montreal du Futur event held every two years since 2006 in Montreal.
