VIDEO: HVAC by helicopter in Burlington, Ont.
DON WALL — A pilot from Zimmer Air Services flying a Sikorsky S-58T owned by Sprint Mechanical was busy lifting 26 HVAC units onto the roof of Burlington’s Mapleview mall Sept. 30.

On Sept. 30 Ledcor and Sprint Mechanical lifted several HVAC units on the roof of Mapleview Mall in Burlington, Ont. but instead of setting up one or more cranes, they opted to use a helicopter.

Daily Commercial News staff writer Don Wall was on hand for the lift and talked to Ledcor HS&E manager Maria Robibero, senior site superintendent Ted Lourenco and senior project manager Craig Schmidt about the process and challenge of moving heavy equipment through the air.
