Mattamy unveils 55-plus community in Florida
Ontario-based Mattamy Homes today announced it has broken ground on Telaro, its first 55-plus active-adult luxury development in south Florida. The homes will be one-storey residences on 400-plus homesites. Amenities will include a 15,000-square-foot clubhouse with a fitness centre, cafe, lounge and card rooms; and lap pools, cabanas, poolside bar and market.
Elliott, Williams join Ford for COVID announcement
Ontario Premier Doug Ford is expected to announce details of further measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 this afternoon at 2 p.m. EDT. Ford will be joined by Minister of Health Christine Elliott, Solicitor General Sylvia Jones and Dr. David Williams, chief medical officer of health.
Canadian Solar launches four projects in Japan
Canadian Solar Inc. announced today it has started construction on four solar projects in Japan totaling 143 MWp. The portfolio includes a flagship project, the 100 MWp Azuma Kofuji project located in the Fukushima Prefecture, and other projects totalling 43 MWp in the Ibaraki and Hiroshima Prefectures.
Slave Lake biomass project receives EA approval
Expander Energy Inc. and Vanderwell Contractors (1971) Ltd. today announced that their proposed Slave Lake, Alta. Biomass Gas to Liquids project has received its environmental permit from Alberta Environment and Parks. The project would establish Canada’s first Biomass Gas to Liquids plant adjacent to Vanderwell’s sawmill site in the Mitsue Industrial Park. The plant would produce over 6.5–million litres per year of low-carbon synthetic diesel fuel, trade named SynDiesel, made from sawmill and forestry residuals.
