Work continues for The United BLDG. mixed-use development on University Avenue in Toronto.
The project, by Davpart Inc./Amexon Development Corporation and constructed by EllisDon, includes one 55-storey tower with 709 suites. It incorporates the heritage Maclean Publishing Company/Maclean-Hunter Building at 481 University Ave. along with adjacent existing buildings into its base and will also contain offices and retail. Amenities include a fitness centre, sauna and rain room, sports lounge with billiards, video gaming lounge, bocce court, golf simulator, party room, fireplace lounge, terrace with barbecues, an all-season reflection pool and zen garden. The architect and landscape architect is B+H Architects and ERA Architects is the heritage architect. The interior design is by Tomas Pearce Interior Design Consulting Inc.
