Landscaping work continues at the Chartwell Guildwood Retirement Residences in the Guildwood Village area of Scarborough Ont.
The owners are Chartwell Retirement Residences and Welltower Inc. Canada. Collaborative Structures Ltd. is the construction manager and the work includes one U-shaped building ranging two-five-storeys with 172-units dedicated for elderly care and assisted living. The building will have independent living apartments, independent supportive living suites, and a dedicated secure neighbourhood for residents with memory impairment. There will also be a music room, indoor pool, art room, bistro, hair salon, and dining venue options. The facility will have a basement and ground level parking. The architects for the project are Michael Spaziani Architects Inc./ CMV Group Architects Inc. Consultants are Odan Detech Group Inc. (civil), and The Landplan Collaborative Ltd. (landscape).
