MONTREAL—Brivia Group has announced the second phase of its 1 Square Phillips development in Montreal.
The launch of phase two comes less than two years after phase one, which will feature the tallest residential tower in Montreal at 61 storeys.
The new 21-storey tower will be added to the perimeter of the main building, located between Place Phillips and Saint-Alexandre Street, stated a recent release.
The 324-unit new phase will feature an interior courtyard and a terrace with what’s termed an urban chalet. Design will be by MSDL Architects.
Studios and one- and two-bedroom units will be available in the new phase. The starting price for units is $322,900; the first deliveries are planned for 2025.
Amenities will include 17,000 square feet of common spaces including co-working facilities and lounges as well as a dog park. The REM light rail transit line will open nearby.
Construction of the first phase is proceeding well, Brivia Group reported, with the eighth and ninth floors currently being built and the tower expected to reach 20 floors this summer. Ninety per cent of units are sold and completion is slated for 2024
“The strong demand for this larger-than-life project tells us that Montrealers will make this magnificent site a signature downtown development,” said Kheng Ly, founder CEO of the Brivia Group, in a statement. “We are particularly proud that our vision of urban living is being embraced by our clients and that they will bring life to 1 Square Phillips and its architectural landscape for years to come.”
Brivia Group has a portfolio of projects in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Quebec City and other regions of Quebec.
