MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — Edenshaw Developments has broken ground on the 32-storey Alba Condos project, located on Fairview Road East in Mississauga.
The 418-suite project was officially launched in June 2021 and offers condo units and townhouses. Geothermal heating and cooling will enable a carbon savings of about 80 per cent, stated a recent release.
The building was designed by architectural firm CORE Architects and interior designer Cecconi Simone. Among the 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity spaces will be a co-working lounge, maker’s studio, children’s play area, pet spa with connected outdoor dog run, and wellness centre.
The developer touts proximity to the Cooksville GO Mobility Hub, Hurontario LRT (Hazel McCallion Line), Trillium HealthWorks and Square One Shopping Centre as other assets. Edenshaw Elevated Smart Home technology will be installed.
Alba Condos is slated for completion by the summer of 2025.
“We are pleased to be commencing construction at Alba, which marks our first residential condominium development that integrates geothermal technology within the building systems,” said Edenshaw CEO David McComb. “We are proud to be part of building a sustainable future for Mississauga.”
