Mid-mountain lodge to be built at Brighton Resort in Utah
BIG-D SIGNATURE — Big-D Signature, along with Brighton Resort and Bluebird Day Architecture, recently announced the construction of a new a mid-mountain rest area for skiers and snowboarders called Sidewinder Grill to be located at Brighton Ski Resort.

BRIGHTON, UTAH — Sidewinder Grill, a mid-mountain rest area for skiers and snowboarders, will be constructed at Brighton Resort in Brighton, Utah.

The lodge is being built by Big-D Signature and designed by Bluebird Day Architecture. It’s a single-storey, 4,618-square-foot hybrid structure that includes three repurposed shipping containers: one container serves as a pre-constructed restroom pod while the other two containers combine to one large kitchen as a commercial counter style restaurant.

On each side of the container module, two dining halls framed with heavy timber and steel will accommodate 180 visitors. The exterior seating areas will provide 7,600 square feet of outdoor seating occupancy on a heated concrete terrace for outdoor dining and relaxation experiences.

Currently, the only lodge at Brighton Resort is at the bottom of the mountain, and skiers and snowboarders must ride all the way down to utilize facilities, states a release, adding Sidewinder Grill will be located right above the Snake Creek ski lift, and where the Sunshine and Pioneer runs meet, giving patrons additional on-mountain options.

Construction on the grill is slated to be finished for the 2023-2024 winter season.
