This week on the Construction Record podcast, digital media editor Warren Frey speaks to Edmonton mayor Amarjeet Sohi about the city’s infrastructure plans in 2022 and beyond.
Sohi said while COVID-19 slowed down infrastructure expansion and maintenance in the early days of the pandemic Edmonton is working towards expanding the LRT network and revitalizing older neighbourhoods while creating new spaces.
He also pointed to infrastructure as vital for those who have recently immigrated to Canada, citing his own experiences as a new immigrant when he arrived in Canada.
