ConstructConnect’s Project Stress Index for the 30-day period ending June 17, 2023, finished 15.2% lower from its year-ago level, and 3.0% lower from a week ago.
Two of the three components of the PSI — delayed and on hold — continued to move higher for a second sequential week, while abandoned project counts fell. Despite concerns about the potential for a near-term recession, stressed project levels are more than 15% below year-ago readings.
