ROSSER, MAN. – Highway Motor Freight has announced it is expanding operations at the CentrePort Canada Rail Park in the Rural Municipality of Rosser, Man. with a $16 million investment in a new 32,000-square-foot facility.
Highway Motor Freight is the latest tenant to begin construction in the 665-acre CentrePort Canada Rail Park project developed by Focus Equities Inc.
Highway Motor Freight started operations in 2020 in a 7,000-square-foot building located at Centreport Canada. The new facility is more than four times the size of its current space, a CentrePort release said, and will allow the company to expand its fleet from 125 units to over 800 units, incorporating corporate operations, maintenance, warehouse space and a wash bay.
“This investment marks a significant milestone in our growth journey and demonstrates our commitment to enhancing service capabilities for our clients. Looking ahead, we have begun planning Phase two, which will feature a 50,000- to 75,000-square-foot cold storage warehouse. This expansion will further solidify our position as a leader in the transportation industry, enabling us to better meet the needs of our customers and contribute to the economic growth of Manitoba and beyond,” Highway Motor Freight president and CEO Jass Dhillon said in a statement.
Highway Motor Freight was founded in 2015 and provides temperature-controlled and dry freight services across North America.
