NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C. — The Province of British Columbia has announced $9 million in funding for a school expansion in North Vancouver.
Lynn Valley Elementary school will get six new classrooms and capacity for an additional 145 students, states a news release.
The province has spent around $3 billion on school improvements since 2017 with $101 million going toward the North Vancouver School District (NVSD). An additional $3.1 billion in funding has since been announced.
“Lynn Valley Elementary was identified as a priority in our capital planning and the board is therefore grateful to the ministry for its investment in the school’s expansion,” said Kulvir Mann, board chair of the NVSD, in the release.
