TAYLOR, B.C.—Inspection work on Taylor Bridge will start this month.
To accommodate the work Highway 97 will be a single-lane alternating traffic between Big Bam Road and Taylor Bridge just south of Taylor, as a detailed inspection of Taylor Bridge takes place over the next several days.
Single-lane alternating traffic will be in place:
– Through Friday, May 21 (except 7 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m.)
– Sunday, May 23
– Tuesday, May 25 through Friday, May 29 (except 7 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m.)
– Sunday, May 30
Officials explained crews conduct detailed inspections every few years as part of the ministry maintenance and rehab program.
As well, the data gathered will help inform the long-term plan for the Taylor Bridge.
