Taylor Bridge inspection work starts this month
PROVINCE OF B.C.—Crews in B.C. will begin inspections on Taylor Bridge this month in Taylor, B.C.

TAYLOR, B.C.—Inspection work on Taylor Bridge will start this month.

To accommodate the work Highway 97 will be a single-lane alternating traffic between Big Bam Road and Taylor Bridge just south of Taylor, as a detailed inspection of Taylor Bridge takes place over the next several days.

Single-lane alternating traffic will be in place:

–  Through Friday, May 21 (except 7 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m.)

–  Sunday, May 23

–  Tuesday, May 25 through Friday, May 29 (except 7 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m.)

–  Sunday, May 30

Officials explained crews conduct detailed inspections every few years as part of the ministry maintenance and rehab program.

As well, the data gathered will help inform the long-term plan for the Taylor Bridge.
