EDMONTON, ALTA. — Entries for Built Green Canada’s second annual Maverick Awards are now open.
The award profiles outstanding projects and companies/individuals in sustainable building.
There are three categories: the Ambassador Award, which recognizes those on the ground, encouraging and promoting sustainable building; the Innovation Award, recognizing creative ways sustainable building is happening and progressing industry; and the Transformational Award which recognizes the impact sustainability practices can have in driving real change with a clear before and after.
Individuals and organizations that meet the criteria or have a project that meets the criteria are invited to submit an application or nominate someone.
The Maverick Awards take a non-traditional approach as they don’t culminate with an event, states a release, adding winners are announced in March, followed by the rollout of marketing communications, including a series of assets to spotlight the winners. The creation of these is also intended for the winners’ own promotional efforts.
Entries close Feb. 14, 2025. For more information visit Maverick Awards.
