TORONTO — BMO Financial Group has announced plans to construct a new 350,000-square-foot BMO Campus at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre on Yonge Street in downtown Toronto.
The project is intended to transform part of Cadillac Fairview’s Eaton Centre into an urban work campus featuring a dual four-storey atrium, a March 1 statement said.
The BMO statement said the technologically advanced space will be “one of the bank’s most significant workplace design projects since First Canadian Place broke ground 40 years ago.”
The campus will be built in the repurposed Sears outlet in the Eaton Centre and is targeted to open in 2021. The project will include four floors of “progressive space” featuring advanced digital technology, open floor plans and collaborative work areas.
The statement said BMO remains committed to the bank’s Toronto headquarters at First Canadian Place and has extended the lease for another 15 years.
