New hangar planned for Saint-Hubert airport

DCN News Services

SAINT-HUBERT, QUE. — CYHU H-18 Services Inc. has announced the sale of a hangar at the Saint-Hubert airport in Quebec, a move it says will enable it to commence construction of a new facility at the airport.

The hangar H-18 building was sold to Nolinor Aviation at a price of $5.5 million, said a recent media statement. CYHU H-18 Services, which operates as a ground handling service provider, will now pursue the development of a fixed base operation (FBO) hangar facility, dubbed Aeroparc H-19.

The new FBO will encompass an area of 46,000 square feet and offer 25,000 square feet of hangar space, offices, shops and an arrivals and departures lounge, aimed at business aviation clientele, said the statement. The new facility will be located on a total of 200,000 square feet of private land next to the main runway at the airport.

The firm said all services offered to current tenants and other clients of the Hangar H-18 building will remain in place until construction of the Aeroparc H-19 is completed.

“We are excited about the arrival of Nolinor Aviation at Saint-Hubert airport and to have concluded this transaction with one of the most important aviation companies in Quebec,” stated CYHU H-18 Services president Gordon Livingstone. “We will continue to grow our operation with the development of Aeroparc H-19.”

In addition to leasing hangar space and offering ground handling services, the company offers anti-icing and de-icing, fuelling, security screening and concierge services.
