Window installation continues at the King Blue condos and mixed-use project by developer Greenland Group in Toronto.
EllisDon is the construction manager for the two-tower project with a seven-storey boutique hotel and a theatre museum on the site of the historic Westinghouse building that is being partially preserved. The towers will be 44 and 48-storeys with over 900 units and completion has been scheduled for summer 2019. Amenities include a lounge, multimedia room, conference areas, fitness facilities, a rooftop terrace and a pool. The architect for the project is IBI Group. CHIL Interior Design is responsible for the hotel interior. ERA Architects is the heritage architect and NAK Design is the landscape architect. Consultants are Jablonsky Ast & Partners (structural), Smith + Andersen-Toronto (mechanical/electrical) and Studio Munge (interior). Subtrades include: Michael Bros. Excavating and Deep Foundations Contractors Inc.; CBM (concrete); Premform Ltd. (formwork); Salit Steel (rebar); Nortown Electrical Contractors; Lisi Mechanical and Blandford (waterproofing).
