ORLEANS ONT. — EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare has been selected as the preferred proponent to build and finance the Orleans Health Hub project, in Orleans, Ont.
The company was chosen following an open, fair and competitive request for proposals (RFP) process that began in October 2018.
Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Hopital Montfort will now work to finalize contract details with EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare, indicates a release issued by IO, adding the project is expected to reach financial close this summer. Relevant contracts have been signed, a financing rate has been set and the contract cost will be announced publicly following financial close.
The project involves the construction of a new facility at the corner of Mer-Bleue Road and Brian Coburn Boulevard. The 96,000-square-foot facility will bring together the following partner organizations: Bruyere Continuing Care; Champlain LHIN; Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO); Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre (EORC); Geriatric Psychiatry Community Services of Ottawa (GPCSO); Hopital Montfort; and Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa.
