TCR Express: March 3, 2021

In this week’s TCR Express, Daily Commercial News and Journal of Commerce editor Lindsey Cole joins digital media editor Warren Frey for a look at what we’re covering as we head towards International Women’s Day on March 8.

On March 8 we’ll have columns from industry stakeholders about female construction success stories along with an examination of the challenges of being a woman in the sector, a preview story has already been posted by staff writer Russell Hixson about the BC Centre for Women in The Trades, who will hold a virtual conference on International Women’s Day, and several other deep dives on the topic of women in construction.

We also have an excerpt from an interview with Bridgit co-founder and CEO Mallorie Brodie, who spoke to us about a recent partnership Bridgit announced with U.S. construction giant Skanska USA Building. The Ontario-based firm will roll out their Bridgit Bench software platform to implement workforce planning, resource management, pursuit tracking and forecasting together for Skanska’s building operations offices.
