Towers are on the rise for The Well mixed-use development at Front and Spadina streets in Toronto.
Diamond Corp., RioCan Real Estate Investments and Allied Properties REIT are the owners and the construction manager is Tridel Corp. The project includes one 36-storey office tower with underground parking being built by EllisDon and six residential towers that will range from 14 to 46 storeys with a total of 1,700 suites and amenities in each tower. The overall project will have over one million square feet of office space and 500,000 square feet of retail and food services throughout the buildings. Completion on the office and retail portion is scheduled for 2022 and the residential towers have been scheduled for 2023. The project was designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects (design), Adamson Associates Architects (executive), Wallman Architects and architectsAlliance (residential towers). Consultants are Read Jones Christoffersen/Jablonsky Ast & Partners (structural), Novatrend Engineering Ltd. (mechanical/electrical) and Claude Cormier & Associes Inc. (landscape).
