WEYBURN, SASK. — The new Weyburn General Hospital has started construction and is expected to be finished by the end of 2025.
Weyburn General will be a 35-bed facility of approximately 9,730 square metres and will feature an emergency medical services garage, heliport, 25 acute care beds and a 10-bed mental health in-patient unit, according to a news release.
Wright Construction Western Inc. is building the facility.
“It is great to see this project moving along and progressing into the construction phase. It won’t be long before we see the new Weyburn General Hospital take shape and we look forward to updates along the way,” said Everett Hindley, rural and remote health minister, in the release.
