Work progresses on the new Laurier Brantford Research & Academic Centre in Brantford, Ont.
Construction manager of the three-storey project designed to meet LEED silver certification is D. Grant & Sons Ltd. and completion has been scheduled for summer 2011. The owner is Wilfrid Laurier University and the project was designed by MMMC Architects Inc.
Consultants are: Vanboxmeer & Stranges Engineering Ltd. (structural); Millennium International Engineering (mechanical/electrical); MTE Consultants (civil); and Roth Associates Landscape Architects Inc. Subtrades include: Neil Montague Construction Ltd. (excavation); Con-Wall Concrete Inc. (formwork); Lambton Metal Service (structural steel); Harris Rebar and L J Barton Mechanical (mechanical/plumbing).
