It is with great delight that I read the Feb. 27 article in your paper announcing the use of CCDC2 by the Ontario Realty Corporation.

On behalf of the Canadian Construction Association’s Trade Contractors Council, I would like to applaud the ORC for its recent decision and congratulate the Strategic Opportunities Liaison Committee for their good work on this very important matter.

As stated in your story, the use of standard documents provides greater certainty and reduces risks for all those involved in construction projects.

The CCA Trade Council encourages the use of unamended CCA/CCDC standard documents at all levels to ensure greater harmony in the construction industry.
