Emil Anderson Construction vice-president and director of operations Frank Jacobs died early Monday at the age of 43, his family announced. The cause of death was an incurable brain tumour.
Several days after undergoing brain surgery June 27, Jacobs experienced strong pressure headaches and was readmitted to hospital, according to his family.
“Sadly, the large tumour proved too strong and rapidly took Frank’s cognitive skills and he could fight no longer by late Sunday evening,” the family said a statement.

“Frank left his mark on many major projects around the province including the Vancouver Island Highway, Sea to Sky Highway, Kicking Horse Canyon, Whistler Sliding Centre and Olympic ski jump,” the family said.
