Tucker Hi-Rise Construction builds Russell Hill Retirement Residence

Work continues on the Russell Hill Retirement Residence at 262 St. Clair Avenue West in Toronto.

First Gulf Inc. and Tucker Hi-Rise Construction Inc. began the seven-storey, 70-unit seniors’ residence in October 2007. Completion has been scheduled for spring 2009.

The project was designed by Diamond + Schmitt Architects.

Consultants are Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. (structural); Able Engineering Ltd. (mechanical/electrical); and Janet Rosenberg and Associates (landscape).

Subtrades include Progreen Demolition (old building demo); Costa Earth Moving Inc. (excavation); Deep Foundations Contractors Inc. (shoring/caissons); Canada Wide Reinforcing Steel Co. Ltd. (rebar supply); Forma-con Construction (formwork); Innocon Inc. (concrete supply); DiRocco Masonry Group Ltd.; Select Drywall & Acoustics and D. Zentil Mechanical Ltd. (mechanical/fire protection).

Also on the list of subtrades are Zerem Electric Services Ltd.; Allan Windows Technology; C & A Tedesco Waterproofing Inc. Kone Inc. (elevators); Roman Metals (misc. metals); and Alumina Railing Systems.
