Anita Smith elected new chair of Consulting Engineers of Ontario

Anita Smith, executive vice-president of Genivar Inc., has been elected chair of Consulting Engineers of Ontario (CEO).

Anita Smith, executive vice-president of Genivar Inc., has been elected chair of Consulting Engineers of Ontario (CEO). She succeeds Bob Fleeton, regional manager of water and wastewater at UMA Engineering Ltd.

Also elected were vice-chair Shawn Gibbons, executive vice-president of Dessau, treasurer Bill De Angelis, vice-president and general manager of Associated Engineering Ltd. and secretary David Amm, vice-president of Hatch Mott MacDonald Ltd.

They took office during the association’s annual conference in Toronto. The theme was Communication: the Key to Quality. The highlight was the presentation of the 2008 Ontario Consulting Engineering Awards.
