Construction worker killed in underground shaft in Brampton, Ontario

A man in his mid-20s was killed in an accident in Brampton, Ontario. The constructor is Fermar Paving Ltd. and the employer is McNally Construction. The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating.

A man in his mid-20s was killed in an accident in Brampton last week.

The man was working at a construction site at the northeast corner of Mississauga Road and Queen Street when he became stuck in a six-metre underground shaft in the afternoon of Sept. 30. Police say he was found without vital signs, and pronounced dead a short time later. The constructor is Fermar Paving Ltd. and the employer is McNally Construction.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating and issued orders to provide documentation and not to disturb the scene.
