One of the last buckets of concrete gets a hoist up as the topping off ceremony took place recently for the Balliol Park rental buildings on Balliol Street in Toronto, Ont.
Shiplake Management Co. is the developer and Deltera Inc. is construction manager for the two-tower building that includes one 14-storey and one 30-storey building with a total of 521 units. The amenities include a Balliol tower indoor pool on the second floor, the Davisville tower rooftop pool, and both towers will have a fitness centre, multipurpose rooms and two levels of underground parking. Occupancy is scheduled to begin mid-2016. The project was designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects. Consultants are: Stephensons Engineering (structural); Smith and Andersen Consulting Engineering (mechanical/electrical) and Gh3 (landscape). RESFORM, Lisi Mechanical, Nortown Electric, Cooltech Ventilation, Quest Windows, Global Precast, SDA Drywall and Selco Elevators.
