Construction is ongoing at the Clare R. Copeland Transformer Station in Toronto, Ont.

Carillion Canada is general contractor for the new three level underground station being built below the heritage machine shop building that will be preserved. The owner is Toronto Hydro-Electric Systems and when completed it will add 144 mega volt amps of capacity. The architect and prime consultant is IBI Group. Subcontractors include: RONI (excavation); Four Winds Construction (site services); Drillco Foundation Co. Ltd. (caissons); Gilbert Steel (rebar); Limen (heritage restoration); Limen Structures (formwork); Darlington Steel Ltd. (misc. metals); Servocraft (mechanical); B.G. High Voltage (electrical); Troy Life & Fire Safety (sprinklers) and Aquanorth Contracting (waterproofing).
