NLCA recognized for charitable contributions

ST. JOHN’S, N.L. — Steve Crocker, minister of transportation and works for Newfoundland and Labrador, made a statement in the House of Assembly recently, thanking the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association (NLCA) for its charitable contributions.

“For more than 50 years, the association has made substantial contributions for the benefit of the industry, the provincial economy, and many of our residents and communities,” said Crocker in the statement.

“In addition to all industry does to move this province forward economically and socially, the association also dedicates considerable time and resources for charity. The association has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to charitable organizations over the years.”

Over the past 12 years, the association has contributed close to $400,000 to the Mazol Shriners’ children’s transportation fund, which goes towards helping children and their families connect with life-changing care for a range of conditions and injuries.
