GVCA’s BOLD Awards accepting nominations

CAMBRIDGE, ONT. — The first annual BOLD Awards, celebrating the next generation of construction professionals, will be presented by the Grand Valley Construction Association (GVCA) and LinC at the BOLD Awards Gala evening on January 23, 2020.

Nominations can be submitted through recommendations from employers, suppliers, colleagues or through self-nomination. Anyone who is an employee or owner of a GVCA member firm in good standing can nominate an individual that meets the requirements.

To be eligible for the 2019 BOLD Awards, a nominee must be born in 1979 or later. The deadline for nominations is December 15, 2019.

Awards include the Craft Award, given to a skilled tradesperson; the Safety Award, given to an individual who is committed to safety; the Onsite Award for the individual who has the ability to bring the team together; the Leadership Award, for the person who demonstrates professionalism and leadership qualities; the Spirit Award for the person with social responsibility who inspires others; the Customer Service Excellence Award, given to an individual who has provided exceptional customer service; and the Outstanding Apprentice Award, presented to an outstanding individual enrolled in an apprenticeship program and has shown his or her desire to make their chosen trade a career.

Five industry experts will be selected as judges. All nominations will be blind (stripped of personal/company identification) to ensure non-bias, indicates the GVCA website.
