CCA to host annual conference in March

OTTAWA — The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) will be hosting its annual conference March 12 to 15, 2024 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Juno award-winning musician turned entrepreneur and AI advocate David Usher will deliver this year’s opening keynote, How Artificial Intelligence (AI) will revolutionize our future.

Usher will delve into the future of AI and its seamless integration into construction.

The program also includes sessions on issues facing the industry including:

• Canada’s housing crisis – What is our role?
• Educating owners: How can we raise the bar on procurement?
• Future-proofing infrastructure for sustainability
• CEO roundtable
• Opportunities and challenges in leveraging immigration to attract workers
• Re-engineering work processes to free capacity and drive front-line value
• Electoral readiness and election proofing
• Economic outlook for construction

Also returning this year is the CONtact mentorship presentation where three mentees pitch their ideas for innovation in construction. The CCA National Awards ceremony will also take place at the conference.
