Feds contribute to biogas project in Petawawa 

The federal government has announced it is spending $2.7 million from its Low Carbon Economy Fund towards a project to convert food waste into renewable energy in Petawawa, Ont. The Town of Petawawa will upgrade its digesters to divert food waste from landfills by turning it into clean energy. The town is contributing $2.7 million. 

 

Potentia Renewables acquires solar installations

CarbonFree Technology and Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure announced on Monday the sale of their jointly owned interest in a portfolio of commercial-scale Ontario solar projects to Potentia Renewables Inc. The BrightRoof solar portfolio, consisting of 57 rooftop and five ground-mount operating projects located across the province, has a generating capacity 18.6 MWp and produces more than 20 GWh of clean electricity each year. 

 

Marinovic, DelZotto to lead new Ontario real estate firm

Forest Gate Financial Corp. yesterday announced the formation of Forest Gate, a new private equity, private debt and real estate investment firm that will operate in Ontario. Daniel Marinovic, formerly chief development officer with Dream Unlimited, was appointed CEO and managing partner and Frank DelZotto, recently senior equity partner at BDO Canada LLP, will serve as CFO and partner. 

 

McNaughton to address workplace inspections

Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development Monte McNaughton will provide an update on COVID-19 workplace inspections at a media session today. The availability starts at 1 p.m.
