WOODBRIDGE, ONT. — Workers at a Woodbridge construction site were evacuated after a platform collapsed around noon today (June 7).
York Regional Police said they were called to a worksite near Highway 7 and Wigross Drive at 12:29 p.m. Vaughan Fire said the build was a highrise and tweeted a photo of a building under construction that looked to be about eight storeys high. The police said workers were pouring a concrete slab when the slab collapsed.
Vaughan Fire said there were three non-life-threatening injuries.
The Ministry of Labour was called to investigate the incident.
