TORONTO — A man working on a construction site in Toronto has been freed by emergency crews after being trapped between a hoist and the building.
Fire crews were called to the scene near Mount Pleasant and Eglinton Avenue East the morning of Oct. 28 and were able to rescue the man, but media reports state the man sustained “significant” injuries and was sent to hospital.
The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) was notified of the incident and a ministry inspector was assigned and attended the scene, the MLTSD reported. The investigation is ongoing.
