Workers install rebar for the Courtice Water Pollution Control Plant in Durham, Ont. General contractor Kenaidan Contracting Ltd. began the work last July and completion has been scheduled for summer 2008. The plant is being built on a greenfield site and it will be able to treat up to 15 million gallons of wastewater treatment per day.

The Project Team

The owner of the Courtice Water Pollution Control Plant is Regional Municipality of Durham and consultants are CH2M Hill Canada Ltd.; Simcoe Engineering Group Ltd.; and Macviro Consultants Inc. Subcontractors include: Valleau Construction/H & S Equipment (excavation); Kenaidan Contracting Ltd./MJR Contractors (formwork); Gilbert Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Stubbes Precast; Ontario Ready Mix; Via-Con Masonry Inc; Sutherland Schultz Inc. (mechanical); Lexsan Electric Inc.; Sherwood Windows; AMA Roofing/Ritz Metals (roofing); and Peltar Paving.
