“We are very pleased that this new facility will be built in an existing industrial area on land that is already serviced and will make good use of infrastructure that is already in place.”

GMI will build a 25,000 sq. ft. totally indoor, environmentally protected metals recycling facility. This facility will recover metal scrap from Toyota and other companies in the region and return to mills and foundries for re-use.

Development Commissioner Len Magyar welcomed Toyota Tsusho Canada and Green Metals Canada to Woodstock’s business community noting, “This announcement is another good example of the type of high quality economic spin-offs we were hoping for when the assembly plant was originally announced.

“We look forward to a continued relationship with Toyota Tsusho Canada and its affiliated companies, and helping them achieve a long and successful history in our community.”
