TORONTO
Interhealth Canada has inked a deal to build and operate two new hospitals in the Turks and Caicos. The initial capital investment is $124 million (US).
The facilities will have an initial capacity of 60 beds — 20 beds on the island of Grand Turk, the capital and seat of government — and 40 beds on Providençiales, the most populated of the islands.
The hospitals will be built by a Turks and Caicos-based contractor. Construction is expected to be completed within two years.
Interhealth has completed hospital projects in the Middle East and United Kingdom.
