Bird Construction to build RCMP headquarters in Surrey, B.C.

Bird Construction has finalized a contract to design and build the RCMP E Division headquarters in Surrey, B.C.

Bird Construction has finalized a contract to design and build the RCMP E Division headquarters in Surrey, B.C.

Bird is a member of the Green Timbers Accommodation Partners consortium selected as the preferred proponent responsible for the design, build, finance and maintenance of the new facility.

Bird will design and build the facility in a joint venture with Bouygues Building Canada Inc.

Construction is expected to start soon, with a late 2012 completion date.

Bird’s share of the design and construction contract is approximately $100 million.
