Exterior work is progressing for the Goodwill Social Enterprises Abilities Centre new regional headquarters and retail store in London, Ont.
McKay-Cocker Construction Ltd. began the three-storey, design-build facility with basement in July 2010 and completion is scheduled for June 2011. The owner is Goodwill, Ontario Great Lakes and the project was designed by Paul Kershaw Architect. Consultants are: Santarelli Engineering (structural); Barrett Mechanical/Technicair/Forest City Fire Protection (mechanical); Johnson Electric (electrical) and Ron Koudys Landscape Architect.
Subcontractors include: Select Excavating; McKay-Cocker Construction (formwork); Harris Rebar; Prestressed Systems Inc. (precast); Lambton Metal Service (structural steel); Lafarge (concrete); Contact Masonry; Westmount Storefront Systems Ltd. (windows); Skyline Elevator Inc. and Alliance Roofing.
