GBO Inc. of Ste-Marie de Beauce, Quebec is deemed to have made an assignment in bankruptcy. Until it ceased operations in September, GBO designed, developed and manufactured mid-range and high-end wood window arrangements, doors and accessories sold primarily under the Bonneville and Polar brands.
GBO Inc., which made doors and windows until it ceased operations last month, announced Friday it is deemed to have made an assignment in bankruptcy.
The Ste-Marie de Beauce, Quebec firm said it failed to file a proposal, pursuant to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, to set out the terms of restructuring its debts to creditors.
On Sept. 9, GBO announced it had filed a notice of intention to make a proposal. At the same time, GBO suspended operations because it could not purchase raw materials to fill orders.
Founded in 1946, GBO designed, developed and manufactured mid-range and high-end wood window arrangements, doors and accessories sold primarily under the Bonneville and Polar brands.
