Stephen, a chartered accountant with a business degree from St. Francis Xavier University, recently retired as executive vice-president of investments at Cadillac Fairview, where she led the execution of more than $9 billion worth of transactions, according to a First Capital press release. She was also director of real estate for the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board.

First Capital’s properties include Hazelton Lanes, which it bought for $110 million in September. Hazelton Lanes is a mixed-use property at 87 Avenue Road in Toronto, about a kilometer north of the Ontario Legislature building at Queen’s Park. At the time, First Capital said the Whole Foods franchise at Hazelton Lanes has “significant repositioning opportunities.”
