Work is moving along on the new Oak Ridges Library in Richmond Hill, Ont.

The two-storey project by Bondfield Construction Co. Ltd. will have meeting and computer rooms, work/study rooms and learning/browsing areas. The basement will contain mechanical and electrical services and janitorial spaces and it will also include above grade parking. The project has been designed to meet LEED Silver certification and completion has been scheduled for March 2018. The library is a joint project between the Town of Richmond Hill and Richmond Hill Public Library and the architect is Perkins + Will-Toronto. Consultants are: Entuitive Corporation (structural); exp Services Inc. — London; MCW Consultants Ltd. (mechanical/electrical); Husson Engineering & Management (civil); and Fleisher Ridout Partnership Inc. (landscape).
