Graham to construct Canada’s first infant formula manufacturing facility

CALGARY — Graham was recently awarded a $200 million contract to build the new Canadian Royal Milk (CRM) state-of-the art infant formula manufacturing facility in Kingston, Ont.

The CRM will be Canada’s first and only wet infant formula facility and North America’s first and only goat milk infant formula facility, states a release issued by Graham.

The 320,000-square-foot facility features two separate production lines, one for cow dairy, the other for goat dairy.

The project marks China-based Feihe International’s first foray into the Canadian market, the release indicates.

The project will be built on 40 acres of development land and introduce 225 new full-time jobs in Kingston when the plant begins operations, representing the largest Chinese investment in Canadian history, adds the release.

Graham begins work on the main contract this month, with completion scheduled for September 2019.
