New Milton post-secondary school will link to Laurier and Conestoga

TORONTO—The Ontario government has announced funding for a new $90-million post-secondary facility to be built in Milton, Ont.

The new school will be affiliated with Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College and will provide instruction in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, said a recent media statement.

The new site will accommodate up to 2,000 undergraduate students within five to 10 years.

The school will offer “experiential learning opportunities,” co-op placements and access to a “living laboratory” on the Niagara Escarpment, the statement said. Laurier will also develop partnerships with the Milton Chamber of Commerce.
