Working under Fermar are 11 subcontractors: Comer Group Limited, CRCE Construction Ltd., Soncin Construction, Guild Electric Company Limited, Timbel Limited, Powell Contracting Ltd., Trace Road Services, Entera Utility, R.B. Somerville, Canadian Woodlands Contracting Inc. and Strada Survey Inc.

he city has budgeted $73 million for the Six Points project that was featured on Page 1, which includes cost of the design, construction administration, utility works, land acquisition and Phase 1 civil works.

The tender value for Phase 2, which is currently underway, is more than $51 million. The entire project, which covers 17 hectares, spans 17 years.

It began in 2003 with an environmental assessment. Phase 2 began in March 2017.

Stage 2 of Phase 2 began this past May, continuing on with some work that began last November. The entire project will wind up in spring 2020.

The reconfiguration will create six development blocks. Etobicoke Civic Centre will be relocated from Hwy. 427 and the West Mall to Block 4. The remaining blocks will include a city park and residential development.
