BURLINGTON, ONT. — Endress+Hauser has broken ground on its new $28-million Customer Experience Centre for Central and Eastern Canada in Burlington, Ont.

The two-storey, 47,000-square-foot structure will be located 400 metres from the firm’s existing headquarters on Sutton Drive in Burlington. It’s planned for occupancy in the fall of 2020.

The firm is pursuing LEED Gold certification and net zero energy and emissions for the project, stated a release. Project partners include mcCallumSather of Hamilton, architect and mechanical engineer; WSP, structural and electrical engineers; and Maple Reinders, construction manager. The project will be led by Genesis Property Development.

The company’s current office building is mainly used for administrative functions. Once those activities are relocated, the building will be sold.
